KEVIN CONNELLY
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
 

CPA with over 25 years of finance and management experience, the last 15 years in the pharmaceutical industry.

Formally Chief Financial Officer of a multi-national pharmaceutical business. Responsible for all aspects of finance along with control of global operations as well as a member of the Executive Committee, Strategic, Finance and Product Evaluation Committees and subsidiary boards. Managed growth of the company from sales of $30 million to over $300 million and a market cap of $25 million to a peak of $2.1 billion. Led numerous product and company acquisition projects.

JOSEPH W. LEARY
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
 

An MBA with over 15 years of pharmaceutical experience specializing in the areas of finance, operations and business development within all sectors of the industry including generics, branded and biotech.

Prior to joining VersaPharm, Joe was a founding partner of a pharmaceutical consulting business that focused on business development opportunities within the specialty and niche pharmaceutical arenas.

Joe spent five years at a multi-national generic pharmaceutical company as the Group Vice President of Finance and Corporate Controller.  His areas of responsibility included all operational finance activities and he was a senior member of the company’s Finance Committee and chaired both the Pricing Committee and the Global Sales and Operations Committee.  Other areas of responsibility included coordinating the supply chain between the multiple international production facilities and the U.S. distribution center.

Joe’s previous experience includes seven years at one of the major branded international pharmaceutical companies as a member of their product marketing teams and two years at a small biotech firm that specialized in HIV and cancer research.
 


STEPHEN M. MCCUNE
CHIEF SALES AND MARKETING OFFICER
 

Senior Executive with over 25 years of pharmaceutical industry experience marketing and selling branded and generic prescription and over-the-counter products.
 
Most recently, as head of sales and marketing for an international pharmaceutical consulting business, was responsible for indentifying under performing products with growth potential, drugs for internal development and companies for acquisition.

Steve also spent 12 years with a multi-national pharmaceutical manufacturer with increasing levels of responsibility in sales and marketing positions. As Group Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the US Generic and OTC businesses, Steve was responsible for overall sales profitability of various product lines, managing sales, marketing, supply chain logistics and pricing.

 CARL A. MERIDETH, RPh, MBA
VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING AND CLINICAL
PHARMACOLOGY 

 

MBA and Registered Pharmacist in the states of Georgia and Tennessee with over 25 years of pharmaceutical experience.

Recently named Vice President Marketing and Clinical Pharmacology of VersaPharm Incorporated. Current responsibilities include developing new products, line extensions, and strategies for product development. Originally joined VersaPharm in 1996 serving in many capacities including marketing, sales, research and development, and operations. 

“Our values tell you a lot about who we are. We care about people and use our knowledge and experience to develop products to meet their needs. Corporate and professional skills are also applied to activities through the church, as well as, Bible studies and international mission work.”

Previous experience includes 10 years with Wyeth-Ayerst laboratories and Lederle laboratories in various management and sales positions.

Mr. Merideth holds a B.S. in Liberal Arts from the University of Tennessee, a B.S. in Pharmacy from Mercer University Southern School of Pharmacy, and an M.B.A. from Georgia State University.
 


R. JOE WARE
BOARD MEMBER 

 

In 1995, Joe incorporated VersaPharm and has enjoyed much success building the company. In late 2007, Joe was able to complete a transaction that allows him to relinquish his day to day responsibilities at VersaPharm and spend more time with family. Joe will continue to serve as a board member and consultant for the Company.
